[ Once, at some time of day during the month, there was a small pulse to Alvin's amulet from what might've been the start of a call. Or maybe it was just his imagination, brief and small and while slightly familiar, there wasn't much attached to it, no real energy or emotion to give a clue as to what the purpose might've been for it. Did somebody nearly butt dial him via amulets?? Can't believe someone would do that.

But another day, maybe even the next, an actual hum will come through the amulet. It's quiet in a similar fashion, but it stays for longer than a beat, to be connected to the voice of a familiar boy on the other side. ]

Alvin?

[ Hi. ]

[The first time Alvin had felt the pulse, he had been puzzled but he pays no real mind to it. When the second time it happens, he wonders a little, but then he hears that familiar voice.]

Red! Hey! How've you been, bud?

Okay. [ ...it's just kind of automatic to say, though he hesitates as he continues. ]

...What about you? I haven't spoken to you a while... Is everything okay? [ ... ] Is Presa doing fine?

[Alvin will be getting a peach rose with a purple ribbon wrapped around it. There is also a box of heart-shaped chocolates. The card reads:]

And I should be the one congratulating you on a job well done. You were down there dealing with Elios, right?

A group of us were, and some of the Arehtei. Sosyne and Peromei helped us deal with Elios while Piphron kept us on the ground protected. [ What team work. ]

I heard Piphron wanted food if you really wanna congratulate someone.

But there's just a small laugh when he hears about Piphron's wants.]

Good thing I own a restaurant then, huh? I'll have to figure out what an Arehtei actually eats before trying to send him an order. [...HAH.] Though that's an idea—wonder if I could convince Piphron to be the Hearth's "patron Arehtei."
