[ empatheias ] activity log

All the links to Alvin's activity with brief summaries to also help me remember what the heck he's learned because hell if I can ever remember off the top of my head. I canon updated him in October, so the months in brown are X1 Alvin ([personal profile] selfmotivations) while the rest in blue are X2 Alvin.

Alvin joined [community profile] empatheias on August 1, 2014.

3/15 - Bucky & Presa. Bucky met Presa for the first time at the Hearth, and at some point Alvin decided to just join in on their little fun conversation. Not feeling any kind of jealousy at all. No. Course not. Didn't feel left out or anything, naaah. Anyway, he just bothered them for a bit before leaving them back to their conversation.

3/14 - From the Hearth. An open log for From the Hearth, allowing new potential employees and recipes to come and try their luck. Alvin mostly just oversaw everything, but he did say hello to Roxas and Takato.

3/13 - Emizel. Alvin had promised Emizel a sparring session, and the little demon came to collect. By jumping into his bed. After some hijinks, the two head out to get some serious training done, including some dunamis practice.

3/11 - Bucky. It's someone's birthday! And of course Alvin would show up to a bro's party. Just wished there had been some strippers.

3/11 - Leaf. Leaf brought up the topic of crystals turned into the Arehtei and Alvin was reminded he actually still needed to. Do that. Whoops.

3/11 - Yuri Lowell. Yuri had some excess amount of cakes that he was offering and Alvin offered to take a load off—if only to dispense them to Milla's bottomless pit.

3/02 - Hiro. Always looking for potential new employees, especially since a few have left recently, Alvin offered Hiro a job at the Hearth. It of course came with a half-serious, half-silly interview. But all in all, the kid did fine. May need to expect to do some engineering work and repairs in the future, though.

11/20 - Jude. After everything went to hell at the festival, Alvin quickly ran to try his friends and found Jude. It was like E.S.S Pellune all over again as they worked to help people they came across.

11/15 - Julius. Ludger's gone missing. Alvin suspects he returned him like Leia did.

11/15 - Gaius. Gaius has outed himself as king in his usual domineering forceful way. Although he'll always support him, Alvin does caution him about coming across too forceful, which might not make everyone else as comfortable.

11/15 - Harvest Festival. At the Harvest Festival, Alvin had gone out to see what all there was to do as well meet people. He got a bit more than he bargained for at the dunking booth, however.

» Dunking Booth. Alvin had pretty good aim, so he was able to dunk quite a few unfortunate people into the cold lake water. But then his luck ran out when someone forced him to miss (or so he says). Well he was able to provide some pretty good service to the ladies, being shirtless and possibly becoming wet. The following people proceeded to dunk him: Jude, Spicy Milla, Cool Milla, and Naomi. Kaihime was one of the people he dunked, and would later get a taste of the red drink. It was kind of intense. Minato had tried, but wound up missing instead. Alvin would tell him to give some service for the ladies and watch as the kid gets dunked.

» Marisa. Somehow or another, he bumped into Marisa who had taken the blue drink. Upon some investigation, it seems like she wasn't the only one who was acting weird because of it.

» Jacqli. Hearing Jacqli's performance in person had been even better than when he heard it over the crystals. Again he tried to make her see that giving performances weren't so bad, but she's a tough one. Or he should just give up.

» Simon Blackquill. Alvin can always appreciate a fellow gunman, and this guy was good.

» Emizel. He found the kid clinging to the dunk booth board. A ball was handed to him. Three guesses as to what happened next.

11/12 - Rikka. Hearing the girl's request for market research, he offers to help volunteer his services, only to discover the little flower cart business is different than he expected.

11/11 - Emizel. Alvin noticed Emizel sneaking around town and curious he followed the kid. After making his presence known, he learned that the young demon was trying to find ghosts, believing they were the cause for some recent strange occurrences. He also learned that this was Emizel's second or so trying it on his own. Out of concern, he stuck with him.

11/10 - Elize & Roxas. Elize proposes a camping trip with Roxas and Alvin gets his shotgun to drill the boy offers his assistance.

11/10 - Cool Milla. A bored Milla can be a dangerous Milla, so Alvin tries to help by just talking to her about random things. Mostly spirits and Korra.

11/10 - Lu Meng. As promised, Alvin was going to show Lu Meng about firearms. He brought both a rifle and a handgun for the old samurai to try.

11/05 - Takakage. Alvin ran into Takakage right after he used a magical shield to stop some haybales. After giving assistance, he discovers that Takakage had once again disappeared back to his world, only this time seven years had passed.

11/05 - Regal. He witnessed Regal stop a giant hay bale with just one leg and while with his hands shackled. Definitely impressive. They then did a little bit of small talk and discovered they had a shared interest in business.

11/02 - Jacqli. Business is always something Alvin is interested in, so hearing Jacqli's proposal piqued his interest. What was more interesting was discovering her musical talent. Now if only she could actually commercialize her voice...

10/22 - Porring Invasion. The aftermath of the great porring battle. Alvin wasn't really around in the city since he was still out in the field, but he does return to find Sentinel ambushed by an army of porrings. It was funny.

10/20 - Porring Hunting. With a full party, the group attacks the giant porring only to find it quite the formidable foe. And then it explodes into a billion little porrings, a considerable number actually heading to the city. Partnered with Sabriel and Leon. He then spoke to Sanae and Spicy Milla about the porrings, actually comparing them to gels with Milla. They also kind of had a crash course in parenting (worst parents).

10/18 - Cat Hunting. The search for the cat was interesting at best. Alvin ran into Lu Meng although the samurai did not come out unscathed.

ღ 10/15 - Boreas Season Dance. Like Alvin would miss out on a party. He had his own thread with various options to choose from. Rowen and Athena would help disentangle him from the statue; he pulled Sabriel and Spicy Milla into a dance; and chatted with Archer. In addition, he socialized and danced with Naomi (mixed results); deal with a drunk Gaius; might have gotten Jude a little drunk, too; and tried to help Kamille with some socializing.

10/12 - Party up. Alvin had taken up a few of the higher paying jobs: finding some rich person's cat and eliminating the giant porring monster. Feeling generous, he asks for anyone to assist him on these jobs because the payout is ridiculously high for each. He got a lot of interested party members.

10/09 - Minako Aino. When a pretty young girl dashes under your umbrella, of course you'll help her out while being equally charming. And then somehow he earned the title "knight" and roped into potentially helping her for future endeavors.

10/09 - Roy Greenhilt. Still getting used to being back from a year long stay, it had been reassuring to see Roy still doing his monster hunt quests. He would have helped, but he had his own jobs to take care of, so they swapped notes a little.

10/04 - Canon Update. Alvin, Jude, and Milla had left Empatheias only to return three days later. Problem is, they spent a year in their world, so they were understandably confused and a bit hazy in terms of their memories. Also, they reappeared in a closet and Alvin had to suffer through Jude's and Milla's questionable acts. He spoke with Takakage, Gaius, Julius, Spicy Milla, Sabriel, Shun, Ludger, Enoch, Leon, and Elize.

【 canon update: 10/02

10/02 - Mickey Mouse. He had no idea what Halloween was, but he volunteered to help.

10/02 - Takakage. Alvin had been surprised to hear of Takakage's departure and return, as well as how much time had passed for him. They discuss the implications and possible theories (of course Alvin would experience this himself a few days later).]

10/02 - Marisa. After the party, Alvin came back to see how wasted people got. Dealing with a drunk Marisa was a bit amusing as well as nervewracking because is a drunk magic user really a safe one?

9/28 - Zoe Hange. The crystal is going crazy and there's an offer for a party. Yeah, sign him up for that.

9/27 - Jude. The divide between their otherwordly group and the locals remind them both of the current issues between Rieze Maxia and Elympios.

9/24 - Setinel and Wing. During the emotion swap event, Alvin got to witness Sentinel being nice and another robot being an ass instead. It was very strange.

9/25 - Emizel. After what happened during the emotion swap, Alvin finally finds Emizel to try and apologize and patch things up. It's a bit rough, but eventually they do go out for some sweets, so that helps repair things.

9/18 - Marisa. Roy and Marisa had swapped emotions. Seeing Roy a bit off kilter had been a little...concerning to say the least.

9/18 - Emizel. The little demon lord asks about the ogres. After asking about the scythe, Alvin cautions him about them and suggests having other people as back-up.

9/18 - Emotion Swap. Alvin runs into Juudai playing his card game with kids. With Emizel, things are a bit crazier. First it's fluffy then Alvin got a swap with someone angry and it damaged Emizel badly [16]. On his way home he runs into Archer [5]. At home he meets with Jude, and they also experience a bit of a swap. From it they realize what's going on.

9/16 - Xillia House Party. When you have three people from the future suddenly appear, what do you do? Throw a party of course. Alvin's idea for an ice break is the King's Game which of course nets mixed results. He later finds Spicy Milla snooping around and leads her to the roof for some fresh air.

9/10 - Flynn Scifo. The guy sounds a lot like Jude, just sayin'. After clearing that up, Alvin informs Flynn about the island.

9/10 - Minako Arisato. After hearing the girl use food as a way to meditate, he tells her she's using telepathy. There's also a bit of a cultural discussion regarding how the Japanese use honorifics.

9/10 - Yoshino. The woman has apparently traveled to other worlds before, so they talk about that.

9/10 - Rapunzel. He meets her on the road and after offering to help and calm her down a bit, he explains to her about Empatheias.

9/08 - Fractured Milla. As this is before Alvin's update, he had no idea that this was a different Milla until she mentions Ludger. It got awkward fast.

9/08 - Yuri Lowell. Alvin recognizes him from the ruins, so hearing him ask questions like he just arrived is a bit of a surprise.

9/08 - Ludger. Hearing about fractured dimensions and learning that this guy is not only from a year ahead of them but also knows their future selves is bizarre to say the least, and it takes a while to really sink in.

9/08 - Ivar. Definitely had not been expecting the handmaid to appear, let alone from a year in the future. Ivar does explain a bit about what's going on. And of course he's a handful to deal with.

9/08 - Archer. Talk of bandits, monsters, and how the culture of Rieze Maxia in that regard is different from what Archer is used to.

9/07 - Roy Greenhilt. Roy's working on forming a party to handle a few of the bandits and hostiles. Alvin offers assistance—of course this is before everyone from the future decided to drop in.

9/05 - Yuusei. They're just card games, bro.

9/04 - Sango. A cute girl with an interesting looking cat (turns out to be a demon). How could he not say hello?

9/03 - Pony Ride. (backdated to 8/19) Alvin teaches Elize how to ride a pony. It's almost a disaster when the pony spooks and runs off, but he manages to catch them and it turns out fine. (much cute fluffy bonding time)

9/01 - Hans. Maybe wearing a wig would help hide from the red hair cutter.

8/13 - Sentinel Prime. After their first meeting, of course he'd chime in to see how the autobot was doing. And kind of make fun of that greeting (seriously, "Bah-weep-graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong" is kind of classic gold right there). Sentinel confirmed Alvin's suspicions that the autobot was more "machine" despite having a "living" persona, and then Alvin pointed out that they were actually speaking different languages.

8/13 - Elsa. He couldn't really help her with her magic question, but he could give her a perception of what it's like to a normal human who encountered magic for the first time. He could tell she was nervous about it, but giving her the "cold" facts and expectations were better than sugar coating it. Although he tried to give her reassurance that it might not be all that bad, he knew it would be up to her to figure it out.

8/13 - Cast. Alvin had been handed the notice that Verens' "esteemed" elder was coming by to speak with them, so they all discuss what they should do.

8/10 - Prince Hans. After establishing that he is indeed a prince, the two swap info. He does learn that apparently they don't know their own history.

8/10 - Emizel. The little death god had asked if anyone knew where the crystals came from, and Alvin offers that perhaps they're related to the crystals in the cave. Then there was trolling teasing about going back to the ruins and then learning that the kid was Death. He was intrigued, but unfortunately not as...threatened as he probably would have been if Emizel was not a kid.

8/10 - Shun Aoma. In which Alvin engages in talk about conflicts and fighting.

8/09 - Sabriel. Sabriel had offered her services to make a few magical items as well as showed off her home a bit. Since Alvin knew about her necromatic ways from their initial meeting, he just went straight to teasing her a bit. After a bit of chit-chat, she asks if she could join him in exploring the town, to which he readily agreed to.

8/09 - Wadanohara. He had just come out to the lake's pier to look over it, having been reminded of home a bit, when they met. She basically fell backwards off into the water, which he found surprising considering she still had all her clothes on. At first he thought nothing of it, particularly after she sent him a telepathic message. But then when she stopped sending the messages and insinuated that she might be drowning, he jumped in after her. She had continued the facade until he pulled her up to the surface and brought her surface. When she then revealed she had been joking, rather than be amused, he actually smacked her upside the head. Teenage brat. He had seriously been worried, and for him that was not something he did often. Of course he would have been more worried if it had been someone like Leia or Elize, but even a stranger he would be concerned. Though what really got to him was how careless she seemed to take human life. Especially after it was becoming apparent she wasn't even human. So rather than play with her (what he thought to be) games, he just walked off.

8/07 - Mickey Mouse. After seeing everything he had seen before, a talking mouse was par for the course at this point. Mickey had asked everyone to give the names, where their from, and a favorite thing—basic introductions. Keeping a few things vague (as always), he tried to learn a bit more about the Mickey's world. Turned out to be more of an interesting conversation that he anticipated. Of course not everyone was as "friendly" about it. Alvin tried to help the little guy with Metallia with mixed results.

8/01-8/05: Introduction log. Everyone wakes up and finds themselves in these strange ruins. Alvin's own "entrance" was less than stellar, as he shortly fell through a broken floor into a library below after leaving the room he had woken up to.

» Cloud. After a bit of a rough introduction, the two swordsmen teamed up to explore more of the ruins. It was quickly apparent that they were from different worlds, making the whole thing all the more confusing.

» Elize. Finding Elize there had been a surprise since the last he had seen her was back after they said all separated after defeating Gaius. More surprising was that she didn't remember, or rather didn't even know about the final battle.

» Diamond Cure. Her appearance had been...definitely not something he expected. But after reassuring her he wasn't hostile, they were able to talk a bit about what was going on.

» Morrigan. Sarcasm and somewhat dry hostility is always the best way to meet someone.

» Lute. A young woman who was convinced that Alvin had lost his memory after he fell through, despite his protests otherwise. In the end he just "played along" to try and get some information out of her to try and then prove that whatever "Magvel" or whatever was something he honestly never heard of. Success rate was less than so-so. She also cares way too much about those books.

» Judai. The teenage boy had heard Alvin's mental swearing when he fell and responded telepathically. Alvin's skeptical at first, but he follows the conversation along. Though what the heck are cellphones?

Afterwards, he went around and explored the ruins a bit, meeting other people and discovering a few interesting things.

» Sabriel. One of the first "other" people he met during his dungeon exploring, though it was a bit of an accident. She had left marks on the wall and he had just followed them, wondering where they led. He then heard her voice in his head talking about dead things. Eventually they meet face to face and after a bit of information swap, they make their way back up to the surface to try and tackle that fog. It didn't go too well, but he was able to witness firsthand magic that wasn't based off spirit artes. She also apparently has a heavy mission on her shoulders, including saving her dad.

» Jude+Leia. The kids area always in trouble. They were hanging off a ledge and he happened to be below them. A serious trust exercise was had when he tells them to jump down so he could catch them. They would later get separated. Again.

» Argilla. Turns a corner and has a rifle pointed right at him. Plus side was that it was aimed by a pretty woman, and it wasn't too hard to switch from potential threat to friendly alliances.

» Yuri Lowell. Yuri had set off a trap on the third level and Alvin was the unfortunate target. He managed to avoid it, but yeesh. Talk about bad luck.

» Milla. Hearing Milla's thoughts had been strange. Not only because he was still getting used to the concept, but Milla wasn't even supposed to be there. The fact that she was was also disturbing for a variety of reasons. But it was also good to hear her voice again, and they sort-of made plans to try and rendezvous at the bottom level.

» Malik. While investigating the door at the bottom level, he overhears Malik's thoughts. After some joking talk about the door, they then swap stories about their own worlds. Although Alvin doesn't go into too much of the specifics, they surprisingly have a lot of similarities.

» Sissel. There was an interesting and rather smart cat roaming through the third level disarming the traps. Since they were heading in the same direction, he decided to "partner up" with the cat.

» Ryudo. Alvin was fortunately nearby when he heard the kid's calls for help, pulling him up from the ledge. He also discovered that there was a large bird he could apparently talk.

» Jude. After having gone through the dungeon, including the bottom floor, he meets Jude above ground and for some reason it's really cold. But thinking it's just the weather, he then gives the kid a few souvenirs from the cave. A few elemental cores and crystals. After that, they have a weird conversation about cannibalism.

» Sentinel Prime. Alvin had been going back into the ruins to explore and help out a bit more when he hears some strange noises and then sees something that reminded him of a cross between the Elympion sentinel machines and the elemental golems. Seeing the huge light saber lance thing didn't help. Thinking that it might be some strange guard, he shoots it first thinking it might be hostile. After hearing it talk, however, he realizes his mistake and in engages in somewhat friendly conversation. He learns that it is an autobot, and not the...friendliest. More like annoying, so any chance he has to bring him down is always a good one.

After some time, some researchers appeared. He stayed off on the sidelines to listen in on the questions asked, but he did step in when Sabriel and the angrier archaeologist got a little heated. He asked a few questions regarding the floating island at that time, though direct answers were hard to come by.
