The current reps would definitely be more equipped to get things rolling. Of course if you need any help, I can always try and set a meeting or drop the Doc's place. [Well he knows Naomi fairly well at least.]
I think the general IDEA isn't that bad, but you're getting to the point of it. Would it cause conflict, how would it work, how would it affect emotions and all that. Mostly people don't want it taken as some kind of attack or something against the Arehtei and create unnecessary conflict. Even I got lost in the back and forth that spawned from it.
As for the Arehtei hiding things—probably. Wouldn't surprise me, anyway. To be fair, until recently the Arehtei probably still thought of us as threats and enemies. Even Peromei wanted more proof that she could completely trust us. After all, the humans of the past did end up sending this world down this doomsday path. Though I do think there's still more to this than any of have let on.
I think once people realize that working with the Arehtei is the best shot in saving this planet then things will go better.
